Labour Ministry Investigates Workplace Injury

The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating after a worker was injured at an Amherstburg business.

It happened Thursday morning at G & R Cold Forge Forging Inc. on Smith Industrial Rd near Howard Ave in McGregor.

Emergency personnel responded to the location and took the worker to hospital after he reportedly got his arm caught in a machine. There is no word on the employee's identity or condition.

Ministry spokesperson Janet Deline confirms to BlackburnNewsWindsor.com that an inspector has been assigned to the incident.

G & R is part of the Windsor Machine Group. The LaSalle-based company has operations in Michigan, Indiana, Mexico, Slovakia and China, according to its official website.

The investigation is ongoing.
