New Director For Windsor Pride

Windsor-Essex's chief LGBTQ+ advocacy group has a new executive director.

Windsor Pride has announced that Crystal Fach will take over in the position, succeeding the departing Bob Williams.

Fach was announced as executive director by Windsor Pride's board of directors Thursday.

"We are very excited about this appointment," says Windsor Pride board chairperson Greyson Abela in a written statement. "Crystal is smart, motivated and connected. She has a very successful personal and professional record of advocacy and community activism on LGBTQ and diversity issues."

Fach has a background in social services. She graduated from Lambton College in Sarnia, where she helped form the college's first Gay-Straight Alliance and served as its first president.

"I believe education is the key to success," says Fach in the statement. "I want to help people take the next step toward creating safe spaces for LGBTQ people in both the education stream and the community at large."

Windsor Pride is a non-profit organisation providing resources and support to those in Windsor-Essex who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, two-spirit, intersex and questioning.
