The retooling of the Ford Annex plant is on schedule.
Equipment for the assembly line and new CNC machines are expected to start arriving next month.
"It's new equipment, new technologies and we're investing in our people to further advance their knowledge which is outstanding," says Tony Savoni, Ford's Windsor operations site manager.
Savoni expects to have most of the construction done by the end of this year.
"The first engine right now officially will be launching in the following year but obviously we'll start putting some of these engines in some evaluation vehicles, so we need to start moving engines probably by the end of this year," says Savoni.
There is still no official word on exactly which engine will be built in the plant.
