Photo Of Sex Assault Suspect Released In Windsor

The Windsor Police Major Crime Branch hopes someone will recognize a suspect in two separate sexual assaults in the city.

Police released the picture Thursday.

The first incident was around 8am on January 15. A teenaged girl was walking near Guy St. and Ellrose Ave. when she saw a man standing in a driveway performing what police call "an indecent act". The suspect waved to her.

Four days later, at around 7:40am, another teenaged girl was walking through a parking lot behind a business near Tecumseh Rd. E and Princess Ave. when a man that matched the same description approached from behind on a bicycle. She says the man touched her inappropriately and rode away.

The man is described as white, in his late 40s, and between 5'6" and 5'7" with a skinny build. He had scruffy grey or black hair on his face, yellow crooked teeth and was wearing a black bomber-style winter coat, dark blue jeans, and a black toque. The bike was black with straight handlebars.

If you recognize the suspect, call Windsor police at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830, Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 (TIPS), or submit a tip online at www.catchcrooks.com.
