Local Resident Wins Canadian Cancer Society Lottery

A Comber woman is celebrating after winning a big ticket prize in the Canadian Cancer Society Lottery.

Sue Dunn won a 2018 Jaguar F-Type and $10,000 in the fall lottery. She decided to take the money for the vehicle as well.

"It's a nice time in my life to get it," says Dunn. "If I was 40 years younger it would be spent on a lot of different things but right now with the economy it will be put aside for retirement."

The Canadian Cancer Society raised $3.4-million last year through its annual lottery.

The money goes toward funding the organization's transportation program and cancer research.
