Express Top Edge 111-103

The Windsor Express derailed the St. John's Edge in a 111-103 victory on Tuesday.

Windsor was leading by only one point at the end of the first quarter, but were able to extend their advantage to 57-50 going into halftime.

The Express continued to stay ahead of the Edge in the third period, retaining a close 85-80 lead heading into the fourth. Windsor remained in the lead throughout the final frame to earn the win with an eight-point advantage.

Logan Stutz led Windsor with a game-high 27 points and 13 rebounds.  Maurice Jones added another 23 points and six rebounds, while  Chad Frazier had 22 points and five rebounds.

The Express are back on the St. Johns court to battle the Edge again on Wednesday at 5:30pm.

Youth volunteers practice coastal conservation

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
