The Windsor Essex County Health Unit might be calling you to ask about your mental well-being.
The health unit is rolling out a phone survey of randomly selected adults as part of a community needs assessment.
"In order to plan programs and services that meet the needs of our community, we must improve our understanding of mental health and mental illness in our community” says Dr. Wajid Ahmed, acting medical officer of health. "This survey will provide us with information from our local residents, so that we can better understand and address this important public health priority."
A marketing research firm, Ipsos Public Affairs, will be conducting the survey. The topics will include self-reported mental health, knowledge and attitudes about mental health and mental illness. The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete and all information will remain confidential.
