Amherstburg Now Offering Civil Marriages

Are you getting married? The town of Amherstburg wants to help.

The town is making it easier for couples to tie the knot in an informal, secular setting. As of New Year's Day, Amherstburg is now expanding their licencing options to include civil marriage ceremonies.

If you want to exchange vows with the town of Amherstburg, ceremonies are available weekdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm at either Amherstburg Town Hall or Kings Navy Yard Park. Saturday services are offered upon availability.

Ceremonies must be booked in person during office hours at Town Hall, located at 261 Sandwich St S.

The town already offers licencing for marriages, special occasions and other events. For a complete list of services and fees, visit the town's official website or call the licencing and enforcement office at (519) 736-0012, ext. 2219.
