Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by tractor trailer in Tecumseh.
The Ontario Provincial Police say the pedestrian was hit by the transport truck on Monday just before 9pm, on County Rd. 46 between Sexton Side Rd. and Essex County Rd. 17.
The pedestrian was rushed to hospital in serious condition where they later succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the pedestrian has not been released.
It is unknown if any charges will be laid.
County Rd. 46 has reopened in both directions between Sexton Side Rd. and Essex County Rd. 17.
