It is warning residents after hearing reports about someone going door-to-door in the Riverside area of Windsor soliciting cash donations for the future new hospital project.
The foundation says it never goes door-to-door.
If you come across someone requesting donations for the new hospital project, it recommends calling Windsor Police.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
