Face To Face Campaign Smashes Fundraising Goal

This year's Face To Face campaign has posted its highest fundraising total since it started 15 years ago.

The annual fundraiser for the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County raised a total of $118,000 this year. The campaign supports the Hospice’s Fairley Family Transportation Program, which provides more than 8,500 rides to patients and their caregivers to medical appointments, treatments, or the Hospice Wellness Centre for programs.

“This is beyond our wildest dreams,” says Executive Director Carol Derbyshire. “I was talking to John [Fairley with St. Clair College] about the very first campaign not too long ago and he remarked how he didn’t know that it would last five years. To have this amount raised in the 15th year is astounding.”

The campaign officially ended September 30 but officials say the money just kept coming.
