Spitfires Can't Withstand The Attack

The Windsor Spitfires dropped a 6-3 decision to the Owen Sound Attack at the WFCU Centre on Thursday.

Owen Sound scored late in the first period and held the advantage heading into the second, where they scored another to increase their lead to 2-0.  However, Sean Day and Daniel D'Amico scored back-to-back goals for Windsor halfway through the second frame to tie things up at 2-2. Logan Brown scored another with just over two minutes left in the second to give the Spitfires the lead.

The Attack surged in the third, scoring four unanswered goals in the final six minutes of the game.

Spitfires goalie Michael DiPietro made 34 saves out of 39 shots on net.

The Spitfires will head to Sarnia on Friday to take on the Sting at 7:05pm.
