Man Dies After Wrestling Match

A man has died following a backyard wrestling match with his brother that went terribly wrong.

Corey Woodrich passed away on October 24, 2017, three days after the incident on Elm Ave. near University Ave. Windsor police say Woodrich was having a consensual wrestling match when he was put in a choke hold and lost consciousness. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

Woodrich's obituary says the 31-year-old was an aspiring musician who was very active in the local music scene.

D'arcey Woodrich, 35, is charged with aggravated assault.
