Fire officials in Windsor say a woman was rushed to hospital after an early morning fire.
The woman has since been transferred to a Detroit hospital in critical condition.
The fire broke out around 5:30am Tuesday at a duplex on Church St. between Tecumseh Rd. W and Hanna St. W in Windsor. The Windsor Fire and Rescue Services says it started in the kitchen of an upper unit in a duplex. The fire investigation will continue on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, firefighters were also called to a fire at a small house on Cadillac St. between Alice and Milloy St. That started around a bed in one of the bedrooms and caused $150,000 damage.
The cause of the second fire is listed as undetermined, and no one was hurt.
