Largest Heroin Seizure In Windsor History

A Windsor man is facing multiple charges after the largest seizure of heroin in Windsor police history.

Windsor police say they seized over $100,000 worth of illicit drugs in its latest DIGS investigation.

After nearly a month long investigation, police were granted a warrant to search a home on Aylmer Ave. and arrested a suspect associated with the home.

During the search on Tuesday, police seized 176.5 g of suspected heroin, 277 g of suspected cocaine, 108 g of suspected crystal methamphetamine, oxycodone tablets, and hydromorphone capsules. Digital scales, cell phones, and nearly $3,800 in Canadian money were also seized.

A 62-year-old man is facing three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
