Work has already begun on Windsor's 2018 budget and all departments are being asked to find 10% worth of savings.
City CAO Onorio Colucci says that doesn't mean the savings will be realized in every department.
"Because departments are asked to come up with innovative and creative ideas to reduce costs then we chose the ones that best give us the option of maintaining or improving services while realizing savings," says Colucci.
The report on the budget process and timelines will go to council on August 8. If approved as presented the budget documents are scheduled to be complete by November 17. Council could deliberate the budget on December 10.
In 2017, Windsor saw its first property tax increase in eight years.
