New Director Search Starts With Public Consultation

The Windsor Essex County District School Board is holding a public meeting to help in the search of a new director of education.

Paul Picard announced in June that he would be retiring as of October 30, 2017. The board then decided to hire a consultant, Robert Murray, to help with the recruitment process for a new director.

The board is seeking input from the community and stakeholders on the types of skills, capabilities and other assets the board should seek in the new director.

The public consultation session is scheduled for Wednesday July 19, 2017 between 6pm-8pm at the Catholic Education Centre at 1325 California Ave. Interested parties are asked to register in advance. If you would like to participate contact Executive Assistant to the Board Beth Marshall at 519-253-2481 ext. 1289 by July 18, 2017.

The board is hoping to have a new director in place by mid-October.
