The province's Special Investigations Unit is investigating an incident in Windsor that left a 27-year-old man with serious leg injuries.
Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding a call Windsor police responded to in the area of Riverside Dr. near Crawford Ave around 4pm on Monday.
The SIU is appealing to witnesses for information about the investigation. They are asked to call 1-800-787-8529.
The SIU has assigned three investigators and two forensic investigators to the case. The SIU is an arms length agency responsible for investigating any serious incidents involving police officers.
