UPDATE: Stabbing At Comfort Inn

Windsor Police are looking for a suspect in an early morning stabbing.

The incident happened Saturday morning around 3am, in the parking lot of the Comfort Inn located at 2900 Dougall Ave.  Officers were responding to a call of a disturbance involving a weapon.

Police say a 20-year-old man was found with non-lethal stab wounds and facial lacerations.  He was taken to hospital and treated.

The major crimes unit is involved in the investigation, as was the forensic identification unit.  Police are also trying to locate the weapon used.

Police believe that the incident was not a random crime.  The suspect is described as a male with tanned skin, aged between 20-30 years old, six feet tall, 200 pounds with a stocky build.  He had a thin moustache and goatee with a "chinstrap" style beard.  He had black hair slicked back in a ponytail.

The suspect was wearing dark coloured jeans, a black baseball hat and a light coloured jacket.

Anyone with information on either the incident or the whereabouts of the suspect should call Windsor Police at (519) 255-6700 ext. 4826, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

The public is urged not to approach the suspect themselves but call 911.
