Police Investigate Home Invasion On Riverside Dr.

Windsor police are looking for a suspect after an armed home invasion Wednesday night.

Police say a 52-year-old man was home with a woman on Riverside Dr. W near Bruce Ave. when he heard a knock on the door around 8:30pm.

When he opened it, a man he did not know with a BB handgun walked into the home and assaulted him. He took some property before a short altercation where he dropped the property on the floor and fled with the woman.

Police say the victim suffered minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a black man in his early 30s, 5'8" with a skinny build. He was wearing a black jacket with the hood up and jeans.

Police believe the victim was targeted.
