More Charges Against Former Kingsville Fire Chief

Kingsville's former fire chief faces five more sexual assault charges.

The Ontario Provincial Police say the alleged assaults occurred between 2002 and 2016 and involved three adult victims.

Robert Kissner now faces a total of 15 charges.

In December, Kissner was charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual exploitation after the OPP major crimes unit investigated allegations involving a minor. In January, additional victims came forward, and police laid six more charges.

OPP Constable Jim Root confirms that up until the latest charges, the complainants were all minors at the time of the alleged sexual assault.

Kissner is currently suspended with pay, and the Town of Kingsville is conducting an internal investigation.

Jeff Dean has been named the acting fire chief.
