A Windsor police officer is recovering from a broken ankle he suffered during an arrest after a man put up a fight.
Just after 8pm last Friday, police were called to the 6th Concession at Morand St., where there were reports of a man running up and down the street wearing only shorts and a t-shirt with no shoes, and laying in the intersection.
Once officers arrived, the man began swearing at them and slamming his hands on the hood of the marked police cruiser.
Police say a struggle began as soon as the man was approached, and a taser had to be used in order to make the arrest.
A 22-year-old Windsor man is facing four charges, including assault of a peace officer causing bodily harm.
