A 48-year-old Amherstburg man has been charged after an incident at a house in the town Saturday afternoon.
Both police and EMS were at the home on Kempt St. responding to a call about a distraught man. The man was in a state of rage when they arrived and ran down to the basement.
Police continued to talk to him from the top of the stairs when he came up with a large sword in each hand.
As a result, an officer used a Taser on a 48-year-old Amherstburg man, who was arrested without being injured. He is now charged with a dangerous weapon offence.
