A Windsor man is facing charges after a couple of alert citizens helped police track down a suspected thief.
Officers were called to the 3200-block of Aurora Dr. around 3:45am Tuesday, after a man had spotted footprints in the snow leading to his car on Lauzon Rd.
More prints eventually lead him to a man rummaging through another vehicle.
When confronted, the man took off running and eventually went into a nearby house. But the owner of the home and his dog chased the man from the house and police were eventually able to make an arrest after finding a suspect hiding behind some bushes.
A 25-year-old man from Windsor is now charged with two counts of theft, unlawfully being in a dwelling, possession of stolen property, possession of a stolen credit card, breach of probation and breach of recognizance.
