The Belle Vue Conservancy has developed a fundraising strategy to help with the restoration of the historic home.
They are hoping to raise up to $1-million with the first phase of fundraising through selling naming rights. The group would like to sell naming rights to specific rooms in the house but it will remain the Belle Vue property. At the same time the town will be applying for grants with the provincial and federal government.
Amherstburg Mayor Aldo DiCarlo says he is pleased with the relationship that has been formed between the group and the town.
"They have a fairly large and very strong and dedicated group of volunteers who are committed to seeing Belle Vue restored," says DiCarlo.
The entire fundraising campaign will be run by volunteers, meaning 100% of donations will go toward the restoration.
