An investigator with the Ontario Fire Marshall will be at the scene of an overnight fire on Arthur Rd. Wednesday after one person was rushed to hospital.
The fire, between Metcalfe and Seminole St., started in the upper unit of a duplex and caused around $100,000 in damages. The fire is believed to have been an accidental kitchen fire.
One resident was taken to hospital in Detroit and remains in critical but stable condition.
Meanwhile, police are investigating a second fire at an apartment building on Argyle Rd. between Tuscarora and Wyandotte St. E.
Investigators say that fire was set intentionally on the lower level of the building and although no one was hurt, five people have been displaced.
