Hydro Costs, Red Tape Plaguing Small Business

The Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce to address obstacles facing small business.

A recent report highlights the the main roadblocks for small businesses are rising hydro costs and navigating government red tape.

President and CEO of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce Allan O'Dette says they are making a commitment to make these small business problems too big to ignore.

"We will now spend the next 18-24 months leading up to the next provincial election driving home the very significant recommendations in here," says O'Dette.

One of the main recommendations is creating a concierge service to help businesses navigate government regulations and training requirements.
