UPDATE: Mother And Two Others Arrested In Abduction

Three people are now facing charges in a child abduction.

The Windsor Police Service says an 18-month-old boy was taken from a home in the 1200-block of California Ave. around 8:30am Monday.

Officers allege the child's mother, who was under court orders not to see the child, climbed into the house through a window, got into a fight with a family member once inside, then grabbed the boy and took off.

The suspect's vehicle was then spotted around noon in the 3500-block of Sandwich St., being driven by a man, with a different woman in the passenger seat.

Karen Hoyt, 33, is charged with abduction in contravention of custody order, break and enter and assault.

A 34-year-old man and 20-year-old woman each face one count of abduction.
