The Open Streets Festival could become a Windsor staple.
Manager of Planning Policy at the city Michael Cooke says Sunday's turnout was even better than the first event, held back in July.
He credits the arrival of the University students and new activities around the west end campus for much of that.
Cooke believes Open Streets could be an event that happens more than twice a year.
"It does tie back to cost, and how we would look at that with [city] council is yet to be determined -- how we might bring on some sponsorships in the future to help offset some of those costs," he explains.
Cooke says, if they're able to put on the event next year, he'd like to see extended hours or the event done in two day-parts.
Organizers of Windsor's Open Streets Festival are now analyzing surveys and collecting data, in order to bring a report to city council this fall.
