Police are investigating after the death of a 19-year-old Windsor man who was swimming near Ottawa.
Leeds County OPP say on Tuesday around 1:50pm, officers received a report that a swimmer had gone under the water and had not surfaced in Lower Beverly Lake, in the Township of Rideau Lakes.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and rushed the 19-year-old to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.
Foul play is not suspected, however police continue to investigate.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
