Cirque du Soleil views Windsor as a centre for the performing arts, as it's set to return to the city for the fourth time in six years.
"Anywhere a Cirque show goes, they want to make sure the performers know that they're loved and they feel the love from the audiences," says Publicist Amanda Iera. "It shows in the ticket sales, it shows in their reactions, and it shows in the fact that Cirque wants to keep coming back."
The show, called "OVO," is centred around a mysterious egg which appears in a colourful world of insects.
It kicks off June 29 at the WFCU Centre and runs until July 3, with tickets starting at $25.
Members of Cirque are also expected to help with the cutting of the cake on Canada Day at Windsor's Riverfront Festival Plaza.
