Just after 6am Sunday morning, crews responded to 1473 Reading St., where they say a fire had started in the home's kitchen.
They add there was some fire extension in the attic, but the blaze didn't spread to the home's lower level.
Officials say the fire started because of unattended cooking. There were no injuries in the blaze and damages are estimated at $140,000.
