Brainstorming For Open Streets Windsor

Got an idea or activity for Windsor's upcoming Open Streets event?

Open Streets Windsor will connect local neighbourhoods on Sunday, July 17 and Sunday, September 18. An eight-kilometre-long stretch of Sandwich St., University Ave. W, Wyandotte St. E and Drouillard Rd. will be closed to vehicular traffic, but open to pedestrians. Participants are encouraged to walk, bike, roller-blade.

Organizers are holding a series of brainstorming sessions starting Tuesday from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at Mackenzie Hall on Sandwich St. That meeting will focus on ideas for the westerly stretch of Open Streets.

A meeting Wednesday night is at Windsor Water World from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. It will focus on events in the central stretch.

A third meeting Thursday night focuses on events in Walkerville and Ford City. It's at 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the Gino and Liz Marcus Community Complex on Drouillard Rd.
