The flag at the University of Windsor is being lowered to commemorate those who have been injured or killed on the job.
Thursday marks the International Day of Mourning for Workers Killed or Injured on the Job and students on campus will be asked to observe a minute of silence.
Later in the day, there is a ceremony at St. Augustine Church on Wyandotte St. E. The service gets underway at 5pm. An hour later, those at the service will lead a procession to the memorial for workers who have lost their lives while working in Coventry Gardens on the riverfront.
The day is observed in 80 countries around the world.
