Body Found Identified As Missing LaSalle Woman

LaSalle Police Community Liaison Officer Harbinder Gill calls it "our worst fears confirmed."

A body, found by two fishermen around 8:30am Sunday in the Detroit River near County Rd. 10, has been identified as that of Joan Dupuis.  The Canadian Coast Guard retrieved the body.

The 80-year-old LaSalle woman disappeared February 19.  Her vehicle was found parked along Front Rd. near the Detroit River.

Foul play is not suspected.
