The FINA/NVC Diving World Series kicks off today at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre.
Windsor is the third of four stops on the series. The event features 65 divers from 12 countries many of whom are potential Olympic finalist for the 2016 games in Rio.
"It's very important for me to give my 100% and learn from these competitions because it's where we can learn from the others, our competitors and also ourselves and get better strategies for the next competition," says Team Canada diver Jennifer Abel.
Mitch Geller with Diving Canada expects big things from Team Canada at this weekend's competition.
"We are contenders for medals in all the women's events and we are keeping our fingers crossed that we can deliver on that. As far as the men go, it's a strong, strong up and coming men's team and we are looking for them to hit the finals," says Geller.
The competition kicks off today at 11:45am but official opening ceremonies will be at 5pm. The competition continues on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are still available.
