Man Suffers Head Wound In Assault

Police in Windsor are investigating after a man was assaulted early this morning in the west end of the city.

A call to 911 came in at 4:54am Tuesday after the assault in the 3400-block of Sandwich St. near Chippewa St. The investigation revealed a 49-year-old male victim was in his residence when an unknown male suspect forced his was into the home. The suspect allegedly struck the victim and left the residence.

Police say the man was transported to hopsital with a serious bu not life threatening head injury.

No one has been arrested.
