Hitting The Runway For A Cause

Cool FM is putting on a celebrity fashion show at the Water's Edge in Windsor, raising money for the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

Events Coordinator with the foundation Erika Muscat says the goal is $18,000.

"It goes towards kidney-related research and programs and services for people living with kidney disease, such as our peer support program, short-term financial assistance and information brochures," she explains.

Muscat says they have 11 local male celebrities ready to walk the runway on May 26, including undefeated heavyweight boxer Ali Mansour, and Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association Chair Larry Horowitz.

She hopes that this could become a signature event for the foundation in Windsor, as it's seen success with fashion shows in Sarnia, London and Kitchener.
