Easter Seals Windsor-Essex is celebrating its 33rd telethon this Sunday.
The telethon raises money for children with physical disabilities for equipment, scholarships and accessible summer camps. "There are a lot of organizations that will help disabled children survive and to live with the basic equipment but Easter Seals goes a step beyond that, they help you lead a fulfilling life," says Luke Marchant, a 2016 Easter Seals ambassador. Telethon Chair Ram Sridhar says they hope to raise around $200,000 through this year's telethon. "This need is always there. There's a reason why this charity has existed for more than 93 years because it's a very well established and a very credible charity. We need your help and the families in this area need your help," says Sridhar.
The telethon airs from 10am-4pm on CTV Windsor and will be live streamed on WE-TV.ca.
