Belle River Couple Wins $500K

Irish luck may have rubbed off on one Belle River couple and gave them a pot of gold filled with $500,000.

Jeffery and Natalie Boyle purchased their winning LOTTO MAX MAXMILLIONS ticket on St. Patrick's Day. The draw took place March 18.

"It's the luck of the Irish," says Jeffery.

He says 17 has always been his lucky number, which is why there was no better time to buy a ticket then on March 17 -- St. Paddy's Day.

Jeffery's wife Natalie was speaking with her mom on the phone when he came home looking pale saying, "I think we just won a half a million dollars."

"I screamed and jumped around," Natalie says. "Our two young kids started to copy me."

The lucky couple plans to put some of the winnings away for their children's education, buy a new van and pay off their mortgage.

"We feel very happy and relieved. It takes a lot of stress away," the couple says. "Winning the lottery is unbelievable."

The winning ticket was purchased at the Mac's on Wildwood Dr. in Windsor.

Just yesterday the OLG says a $1.6-million winning ticket was purchased in Windsor, splitting the jackpot prize eight ways.
