Tortoise Rescued From Kingsville Fire

Frankie the tortoise has been rescued unharmed from a house fire in Kingsville Thursday night.

Fire officials aren't reporting any injuries after responding to the blaze on Road 5 W between McCain Side Rd. and Arner Townline.

Firefighters with Essex Fire and Rescue also attended the scene to assist with a tanker around 10:30pm.

Road 5 W was closed to traffic in the area while firefighters are at the scene, but has since reopened.

The cause remains under investigation, but Kingsville's fire chief says it's not suspicious.
