Area acute care hospitals are working together as they build strategic plans for the next five years.
Leamington District Memorial Hospital and Windsor Regional Hospital are consulting each other to ensure there are no holes in the health care system regionally.
Bill Baker with the Leamington hospital says while they operate autonomously it's important to look at the system overall. "We are looking at now refreshing our strategic plans and independently doing them and then coming together to see where there may be some collaboration opportunities relative to health care and services. It's all about patient centered care," says Baker. Both strategic plans are expected to be completed by September.
