Board Launches Online School Payment

After a lot of parent demand the Catholic school board is introducing an online method to pay for school fees.

The Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board will use School Cash Online to allow parents to pay for every thing from field trips to yearbooks online to avoid having to send money to school with their children.

"They can take care of these payments online and not have to worry about some of the things they might typically worry about when they're sending money in backpacks to school with their children," says Communications Coordinator Stephen Fields.

The system is secure and easy to use for parents.

"This is something that has been developed by an organization called the KEV Group and they are one of the industry leaders in using these kinds of systems. They're system is used in school districts right across North America," says Fields.

Fields says this will become the preferred method of payment for all schools.

The system will be launched in two phases. F.J Brennan, Holy Names and St. Thomas of Villanova along with all of their feeder schools will be launched Monday February 29. The remaining schools will be added to the system before the end of the school year.
