The president of the Windsor Police Association, Jason DeJong says members ratified the five-year contract last Friday. The contract agreement was reached with Windsor Police Services late last month.
DeJong says he doesn't want to release details of it before the Windsor Police Services Board has a chance to ratify it at Thursday's meeting.
The Windsor Police Association represents 600 members.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
