It may feel like it's way too early to think about summer employment, but Essex MP Tracey Ramsey says the federal government is already taking applications to help employers hire.
The Canada Summer Jobs Program provides funding to help non-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses hire students aged 15 to 30.
Not-for-profit employers can have the entire cost covered by the federal government, while small businesses and public-sector employers can get 50% of the cost covered.
The applications period ends February 26.
