Anyone looking for more information on the new Ronald McDonald House opening in the spring can visit Tecumseh Mall.
The store front will act as a place to train and recruit volunteers as well as answer any questions from the public.
"We have what we refer to as refresher volunteers so volunteers who kind of act as the hostesses of the house. They make sure that the house is warm and welcoming," says Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities Southwestern Ontario Margaret Anderson.
Anderson says when the house opens in the spring they are going to need a considerable number of volunteers.
"We're going to be a 24 hour operation. We will have staff support which will be a 24 hour staff support in that space but between the hours of 9am and 9pm there will be volunteer opportunities in that space," says Anderson.
There will also be opportunities for businesses and organization to volunteer as a group.
"In London right now the volunteers and the great community support we have provide dinners for our families every night of the week practically," says Anderson
The house will be located on the third floor of Windsor Regional Hospital and contain seven bedrooms for families with children staying at the hospital.
The information centre at Tecumseh Mall will be run by volunteers and hold hours Wednesday through Sunday until the new space opens at the hospital.
