Every year, the W.E. Care For Kids campaign hopes to do just a little bit better than the year before, and once again, it's met its target.
This year's campaign raised $443,070.
"We've seen an increase in donations and we are very grateful for that," says Foundation operations manager Ashley Weeres. "It goes a long way in helping to support local pediatric healthcare; putting the right tools in the hands of our pediatricians."
One of the biggest donations has come from the Do Good Divas. It raised $100,000 through its Handbag Heaven event for the W.E. Care For Kids House. In return, the pool at the house will be named after the Do Good Divas.
Meanwhile, Weeres says next year's campaign is already in the planning stages.
"We have made a $400,000 commitment to the Ronald McDonald House (at Windsor Regional Hospital)."
Since its inception in 1997, W.E. Care For Kids has raised $66.8-million.
