Windsor's Downtown Mission is surprised but thankful for a donation of $12,000 worth of food.
It arrived this morning, in the back of a truck which came from Zehrs, and is being paid for by two local business people who wish to remain anonymous.
Executive Director of the Downtown Mission Ron Dunn says it's going to go a long way.
"In the variety that I can see, you know, everything from vegetables to stove-top stuffing is ideal for this time of year -- Christmas," he explains. "It doesn't feel like winter out(side), but it is going to hit us eventually and people are going to need food. It's just that simple."
Dunn says they're feeding more and more people at the mission every day and is hopeful that this donation will even help through the first few months of next year, which is when donations typically slow down.
