Paul Martin Building Tender Issued

The Paul Martin Building in downtown Windsor may soon be getting a face lift.

The federal government has issued a tender for the project that will involve rehabilitation of the limestone facade and replacement of deteriorated structural systems on the south, east and north elevations of the building.

It's currently occupied by the Canada Revenue Agency but has been purchased by the city for $1 with the stipulation of these repairs.

Bids on the tender are due January 12. The tender stipulates all work must be completed within 36 weeks of the project being awarded. Full tender details can be found here.

Scaffolding has been up for years as businesses and residents continually expressed concern over safety and its appearance.
