Hospice Transportation Well-Funded

Patients at the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County are benefiting from another successful Face-to-Face campaign.

Community Engagement Specialist Laura Lemmon says nearly $71,000 will go toward transporting patients and workers to and from appointments and the hospice wellness centre.

"We had close to 200 canvassers this year, and they go out to their friends, family and neighbours to get donations from whoever they can," she explains.  "So a lot of the community in Windsor and Essex County does end up supporting us for this campaign."

Lemmon says this year's fundraising goal was $65,000.

She adds that this year's Face-to-Face donations are about on par with what the campaign's raised over the previous two years.
